Heating Systems

Gas boiler systems

Piped Gas systems are by far the most common form of heating for both domestic and commercial properties in the UK.

As registered Gas Safe engineers, we can replace, repair and service all gas appliances in your home, business or rental property including gas fires, stoves and warm air systems.

It is advisable to have gas appliances serviced yearly to reduce the likelihood of breakdowns and expensive repair costs.

LPG boiler systems

Stored gas systems are commonly found in rural locations, in both domestic and agricultural settings. We regularly install and service LPG heating systems in cottages, campsites, farms and so on.

LPG systems tend to become fouled more quickly than mains gas systems and will need more care and regular strip-downs.

All our engineers are qualified to work with LPG systems

We are OFTEC registered technicians, which means we can provide risk assessments, and service and certify your oil-based heating system, including the installation of your oil tank.

If you have any concerns, such as oil levels lowering faster than expected, boiler efficiency or the smell of oil/kerosene, give us a call.

Wet radiator systems

Most properties, whichever fuel source they use will rely on a one-pipe or two-pipe wet system to carry water to radiators throughout the building. One-pipe systems are simpler, but older and less efficient than two pipe systems, but are simpler and cheaper to install and repair. If you are considering upgrading, modernising or replacing your heating system, we can provide advice and assistance.

Warm air systems

A warm air heating system, also known as a warm air furnace, is a type of heating system that heats air and distributes it throughout a building via a network of ducts and vents.

This type of system was popular in the mid-20th century and we have a number of customers in Lichfield in particular with this system, as it still used in some regions and buildings today.

Installing Smart Heating Systems

Smart heating devices, connected to the internet by Wi-Fi, allow you to control your heating through your mobile device. Various makes and components are available, including Smart Thermostats, Smart radiator valves and central heating control packs.

Many of these can be installed by yourself. However, it’s important to note that if you are already having issues with your central heating, installing the smart system will not fix them. So, if your heating is not working efficiently, a valve is not closing fully, or your system is full of silt, it’s worth having it serviced before adding your Smart device.

We can provide a full power flush or chemical flush and balance your system so that you get the most efficiency from your new Smart devices.
