As HARNCE Heating & Plumbing launch their new website and VIP Service Club with a £60 boiler service promotion, Technical Director Neil Harpur, has urged Staffordshire residents to get their boilers serviced as an effective way to slash energy bills and save on costly breakdowns this winter.
The experienced Gas Safe Engineer said that a national survey recently conducted by OVO, the UK's 3rd largest gas supplier showed that most homeowners put off maintenance work on their boiler and many don't realise that a regular service keeps the warranty on the boiler valid.
In the poll, 59 percent of households admitted that they have been meaning to get the chore done for over a year, while 46 percent have been putting it off for two years.
Neil noted that "a regularly serviced boiler can reduce long-term expenses", adding that such maintenance is also generally cheaper than costly one-off repairs and replacements.
Another benefit to servicing your boiler is that it can use less energy to heat your home if running efficiently, and it is better equipped to withstand cold spells in winter.
Research from the Heating Hub has found that a boiler that is 10 years old wastes about 15 to 20 percent of energy on running itself, while about 25 percent of the energy is lost on boilers that are 20 years old.
To incentivise homeowner to service their boilers, HARNCE has announced that it will be offering a £60 discounted full boiler service to all new VIP Service Club customers during August and September, when they take out their £7 service plan, making it the "cheapest on-demand boiler service in Staffordshire".
Neil promoted the offer saying "Our discounted boiler service, means that homeowners and landlords can get a full service for just £60 (normally £90), when they take out our boiler service plan".
Customers who pay for their annual service via monthly direct debit also pay a reduced fee (£84), to those who choose the Pay as You Go option (£90).

This offer comes at a time when inflation is driving boiler servicing pricing upwards, making it harder for people to maintain their boiler service, and will help households keep their boiler running efficiently this winter.
